Sales Associate (Part-Time) - Plattsburgh, NY
About The Position
The Sales Associate assists customers throughout the retail store, with a primary focus on providing excellent customer service. Duties may include greeting customers, answering product questions, operating the cash register, assembling products, performing housekeeping, and completing other tasks assigned by the manager. The role pays $17.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on experience, and reports directly to the Store Manager. It has no direct supervisory authority. The work takes place in a retail store and may involve cold and warm conditions and an irregular work schedule. The position requires frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, long periods of standing, and frequent bending and twisting. Reasonable accommodations may be considered for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with customer service questions.
- Price merchandise and make price changes as requested by store management.
- Stock and face merchandise on shelves as requested by store management.
- Assist with receiving freight and organizing incoming products as directed by store management.
- Assist with cycle counts.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and handle them appropriately.
- Process customer transactions using the KCX cash register system.
- Handle cash accurately.
- Handle customer returns.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
