About The Position

The Sales Associate delivers exceptional customer service and helps keep the store clean, organized, and shoppable. The role is expected to align with HouseMart’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values. The associate assists customers, maintains merchandise presentation, supports sales and inventory accuracy, and follows safe work practices. The position is full-time at Kihei Ace Hardware, with an hourly pay range of $17.00 to $18.00.

Requirements

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
General knowledge of and experience with computer systems and two-way radios.
Ability to work and collaborate with team members, store management, and customers.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic mathematical skills.
Ability to work under pressure and exercise sound judgment.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 60 pounds, and occasionally lift and maneuver up to 100 pounds using a hand truck.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide personalized assistance to support a positive store experience.
Assist with setting up and breaking down regular, seasonal, and promotional displays; organize and maintain merchandise presentation.
Build customer loyalty through suggestive selling and product knowledge, and stay informed about current and advertised products.
Perform weekly physical merchandise counts and process register transactions accurately.
Work safely and practice prevention methods to protect yourself and others.
Communicate and collaborate with fellow team members, store management, and customers.
Follow instructions and use sound judgment and effective decision-making, including when working under pressure.
