About The Position

The ACE Hardware Sales Associate processes and stocks products, builds and fills displays, and handles customer payments for goods or services in a quick and friendly manner while providing genuine customer care. The role supports store sales by assisting customers with project needs, resolving concerns, and completing transactions accurately and efficiently. The associate also handles deliveries and back stock, answers phone calls, performs assigned activities, and helps maintain and clean the store. Position requirements may vary by store location, and Niemann Foods Management may add to or change requirements.

Requirements

Some hardware knowledge.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Write routine reports and correspondence.
Present information and respond to questions from customers or associates.
Understand basic math concepts, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
No certifications, licenses, or registrations are required.
Friendly, with excellent people skills, good organizational skills, and quick reaction/response time.

Responsibilities

Acknowledge customers, help meet their project needs, and resolve concerns quickly to drive store sales.
Process and stock deliveries and back stock.
Build and fill displays.
Scan products and process customer orders accurately, efficiently, and promptly.
Handle all forms of tender and coupons properly.
Process and remain accountable for other services handled at the register.
Answer incoming phone calls using proper phone etiquette.
Perform fixed activities as assigned.
Assist with store maintenance and cleaning.
Follow all store and department policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
