About The Position

As an Ace Hardware Clerk, you will be an essential part of the retail team, assisting customers with hardware and home improvement needs. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of hardware and home improvement products.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and basic math skills.
• Understanding of safety procedures and guidelines for retail environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers.
• Attention to detail when processing transactions and restocking shelves.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain an organized store environment.
• Ability to address customer inquiries and find solutions to their needs.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced retail environment and handle various tasks.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in locating products and answering questions.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register.
• Restock shelves and ensure products are neatly arranged and easy to find.
• Provide product recommendations and advice based on customer needs.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including sweeping, dusting, and organizing merchandise.
• Assist with receiving shipments and restocking inventory.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to help prevent accidents and injuries.
