About The Position

The Ace Hardware Cashier scans customers’ selections, verifies prices and quantities, accepts payment, and issues receipts. The cashier answers inquiries and provides helpful information about products, promotions, and item locations, and may assist with stocking. The role also responds to complaints with genuine concern and supports the Store Director in creating a positive atmosphere for customers and a positive working environment for associates while working safely.

The position delivers customer service by following the GUEST program, processing purchases accurately and promptly, handling tender and coupons correctly, and keeping the workstation clean, organized, and stocked. Other assigned duties and fixed activities may be performed as directed by a supervisor. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Position requirements may vary by store location, and Niemann Foods Management may change requirements at any time.

• Maintain customer satisfaction by providing solutions to concerns.
• Scan products and process customer orders accurately, efficiently, and promptly.
• Handle all forms of tender and coupons properly.
• Package customer purchases in an organized fashion.
• Keep the workstation and surrounding area clean, organized, and well stocked.
• Perform fixed activities and other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
• Follow store, department, and safety policies and procedures.
