About The Position

The Sales Associate focuses on creating a memorable shopping experience for customers at Cosmoprof. The role involves advising customers on hair color, cosmetics, skin care, and nails, using product knowledge and training to support their beauty needs. Cosmoprof provides product education and training, and offers a range of working schedules and hours. The position requires maintaining a professional store environment and demonstrating Cosmoprof Culture Values.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Able to read and explain product labels.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs, occasionally while on a ladder, with or without accommodation.
• The position involves long periods of standing and walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities, and recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as shipment or record boxes.
• The position involves working around moving parts, carts, or machines, and may occasionally include exposure to irritant chemicals; may also be exposed to fumes and odors upon occasion.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of retail sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with customers and inspire loyalty.
• Recommend additional and complementary products.
• Inform customers about current promotions and events.
• Set up advertising displays and arrange merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events.
• Inform customers about and enroll them in the Loyalty program.
• Complete transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a professional store environment and communicate inventory issues.
• Apply product knowledge training to support customer service.
• Follow direction and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
