Full Time - Sales Associate - Paint - Day
About The Position
The Sales Associate provides customer service in Lowe’s Paint department, welcoming customers and helping them find products and services for home improvement projects. The role involves listening to customers, answering questions, locating and selecting merchandise, assisting with checkout, and occasionally loading merchandise. Associates organize and replenish merchandise, accurately process orders and deliveries, and may prepare paint by tinting and mixing it. The position may also involve cross-functional training and work in other store areas based on business needs.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities needed for the job.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bilingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Help customers locate and handle merchandise.
- Replenish merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and down stocking products.
- Accurately process orders and deliveries so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to support customer service.
- Prepare merchandise based on customer needs, including tinting and mixing paint.
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
