About The Position

As a Customer Service Associate in the Paint department, you welcome Lowe’s customers and help them find products and services for home improvement projects. You listen to customers, answer questions, help select and locate merchandise, and ensure their needs are met. You may occasionally load merchandise, organize and replenish products, and prepare merchandise for customer needs, including tinting and mixing paint. Responsibilities can vary by department, and associates may be cross-trained in other areas of the store.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience using a computer to input, access, modify, or output information.
At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic, including addition and subtraction.
Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary for the role.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, or more than 25 pounds with or without an accommodation.

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
Bilingual skills.
Certification in a trade related to the department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, professional customer service.
Help customers locate and handle merchandise.
Down stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing supplies.
Accurately process orders and deliveries so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
Cross-functionally train in other store areas to help deliver customer service.
Prepare departmental merchandise based on customer needs, such as tinting and mixing paint.
Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
Complete other duties as assigned.
