About The Position

NORMAN’S, an employee-owned Hallmark Gold Crown retailer, is hiring a part-time Sales Associate at its Prices Corner Shopping Center location in Wilmington, Delaware. Sales Associates contribute to store goals by providing customers with a genuine, memorable experience and creating a caring team atmosphere. They serve as an accessible source of product knowledge on the sales floor and are expected to show initiative, work collaboratively, and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets business needs, including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
Strong aptitude for basic math, including percentages and general arithmetic.
Ability to continuously stand and walk; frequently push and pull; occasionally bend, stoop, crawl, reach above the shoulders, kneel, climb a ladder, and carry up to 40 pounds.
Initiative, teamwork, and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

Use the Customer CARE program to drive retail sales by connecting with customers, building relationships, and earning their business.
Prioritize customers and treat them as the most important individuals to the business.
Consistently meet store-specific Crown Rewards enrollment goals.
Learn and use the register system; maintain cash-register accuracy and provide a pleasant point-of-sale experience.
Use effective selling skills during customer interactions to build sales and customer satisfaction.
Learn product knowledge for all merchandise and apply it when assisting customers.
Maintain and restock displays as directed by store management.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
