About The Position

Talbots is seeking a Sales Associate Key to provide exceptional customer service, promote products, build customer relationships, and help grow store business. The role combines sales and fashion expertise with operational responsibilities, including inventory management and supporting store opening or closing. The associate may also lead or supervise others on occasion. This is a regular, part-time position at the Tanger Outlets-Sunbury store in Sunbury, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
• Assist the management team in building store business.
• Serve multiple customers at a time and manage simultaneous tasks or projects.
• Stay informed about fashion trends, new arrivals, and product details such as fit and color.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits and suggest items that meet customer needs.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships that support a productive work environment.
• Communicate store information, brand initiatives, discrepancies, and other relevant information to management.
• Achieve sales and service metrics, including Talbots Classic Awards.
• Participate in learning opportunities and accept direction, coaching, and feedback to improve individual performance.
• Support operational excellence and manage inventory according to policies and procedures, including filling orders, recalls, recovery, replenishment, and re-ticketing.
• Plan and prioritize tasks to meet customer and business needs.
• Lead or supervise others on occasion and open or close the store for business.
• Understand customer needs and wants through intentional conversation.
