About The Position

The Sales Outfitter provides counter sales and customer service for non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise, including sales of floor merchandise. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by greeting customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction.

The Sales Outfitter helps customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. The position also involves demonstrating products, maintaining and replenishing merchandise, staying current on product knowledge and advertised sales, assisting with seasonal merchandise moves, and keeping the work area clean and stocked. Duties are performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment and recommendations for work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Customer service and sales knowledge for non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise.
• GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and support a productive shopping experience.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs and recommend products accordingly.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise for sale at the gun counter.
• Replenish merchandise on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
