About The Position

The Sales Outfitter provides counter sales and customer service for non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise, as well as sales and customer service for floor merchandise. The role involves greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction.

The associate helps customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. The role also includes demonstrating products, maintaining and replenishing merchandise, staying current on product knowledge and advertised sales, assisting with seasonal merchandise moves, and keeping the work area clean and stocked. Duties are performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment and recommendations for improving work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Customer service and sales skills related to non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise.
• GCA knowledge.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
• Ability to lift or move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally lift or move objects up to 100 pounds or more with a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and support a productive shopping experience.
• Identify and evaluate customers’ needs and recommend products accordingly.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain non-firearms Hunting/Archery merchandise for sale at the gun counter and on the retail floor.
• Replenish merchandise on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
