About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms is responsible for firearm counter sales and customer service, as well as floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by greeting customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The associate evaluates customer needs, recommends products, promotes programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup, and ensures that Form 4473 paperwork is completed accurately. The position also involves demonstrating products, organizing and replenishing merchandise, maintaining pricing and signage, assisting with seasonal merchandise moves, and keeping the work area clean and stocked. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment and recommendations about work practices. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer service and sales knowledge for firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Support a high standard of customer service and provide a productive shopping experience.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying their needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure Form 4473 paperwork is completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise at the gun counter and elsewhere in the retail store.
• Replenish shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
