About The Position

The Firearms Sales Associate is responsible for firearms counter sales and customer service, as well as floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by greeting customers, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The associate helps customers make purchasing decisions, maintains merchandise and the sales area, and follows company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer service and sales experience with firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.
• Retail experience: 0–2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and support a positive shopping experience.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs and recommend products.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure Form 4473 paperwork is completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise at the gun counter and throughout the store.
• Replenish shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
