About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms is responsible for maintaining Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms along with Floor and Counter Sales of other Hunting Merchandise. They perform various selling/customer service activities, to include greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information, assistance and direction to customers. This role supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. The associate provides a legendary experience for every customer, every time by assisting customers in making buying decisions, identifying and evaluating customer needs, making product recommendations, and promoting programs including CLUB membership, VOC and In Store Pick up. They ensure 4473 Forms are completed thoroughly and accurately, demonstrate product to customers, and organize and maintain merchandise within the retail store for sales at the Gun Counter. The role involves replenishing product on shelves, remaining a product expert through ongoing training, staying knowledgeable of advertised sales, maintaining pricing and signing, and assisting with seasonal floor merchandise moves. The associate must keep their work area clean, neat, and well-stocked with supplies, and follow all company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
0-2 years of experience in Retail
Must be 21 years of age or older
Knowledge and Experience Product knowledge of Firearms and Ammunition
Knowledge in ATF Federal and State Regulations
Customer Service and Sales of Firearms and Ammunition
GCA
Ability to Merchandise and Stock Merchandise

Responsibilities

Maintain Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms.
Perform Floor and Counter Sales of other Hunting Merchandise.
Greet and acknowledge all customers in a prompt and friendly manner.
Handle merchandise with care.
Provide information, assistance, and direction to customers.
Identify and evaluate customers’ needs.
Make product recommendations based off of customer needs analysis.
Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC and IN Store Pick up.
Ensure 4473 Forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
Demonstrate product to customers.
Organize and maintain Merchandise within the retail Store for Sales at Gun Counter.
Replenish product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines.
Remain product “expert” through ongoing product knowledge training.
Remain knowledgeable of advertised sales; maintain pricing and signing.
Assist with Seasonal Floor merchandise moves.
Keep work area clean, neat and well stocked with supplies.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
