About The Position

The Sales and Service Specialist, TNC is an essential member of the Hertz Local Edition team and serves as a brand ambassador, helping Lyft and/or Uber drivers have a fast, easy, and valued rental car experience. The role combines customer service, rental processing, sales, vehicle preparation, and related administrative support in a fast-paced environment. The specialist helps customers make reservations, processes rentals, responds to post-rental and billing inquiries, and answers phone questions about the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program, rental requirements, extensions, and roadside assistance. The role also involves explaining program procedures and pursuing revenue opportunities by soliciting business and addressing customer objections. The specialist prepares vehicles for pickup by checking for damage, cleaning interiors and exteriors, filling fuel tanks, and checking fluid levels. The position may involve standing for extended periods, working outdoors in all weather conditions, flexible shifts including weekends and holidays, and overtime as required.

Requirements

Previous customer service experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks.
Professionalism, enthusiasm, and outstanding communication skills.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Computer literacy and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Knowledge of customer service resolution practices and excellent communication techniques.
Good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and proficiently in English.
Professional interpersonal skills and a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
Proven ability to work well within a team.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, and overtime as required.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Ensure operational efficiency and provide customers with a positive rental car experience.
Assist customers with rental car reservations and process rentals.
Provide clean and safe vehicles to customers.
Assist customers with post-rental inquiries related to rentals and billing.
Provide helpful customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Answer phone inquiries about the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program, rental requirements, billing, rental extensions, roadside assistance, and related topics.
Communicate the Hertz/Lyft/Uber Rental Car Program and procedures effectively.
Seek revenue opportunities by soliciting business and overcoming customer objections.
Prepare vehicles for customer pickup by checking for damage, cleaning interior and exterior surfaces, filling gasoline tanks, and checking fluid levels.
Assist with special administrative projects as needed.

Benefits

Hourly wage of $22.00.
Eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable laws; company policy requires approval before overtime is worked.
Eligible for holiday pay at 1.5 times the regular rate for hours worked on a designated holiday, plus 8 hours of holiday pay.
Up to 40 hours of sick pay.
