About The Position

Big O Sales Advisors perform customer service and sales duties accurately and promptly, following company programs, policies, and procedures. The role emphasizes educating customers and following through on vehicle maintenance and repairs.

Sales Advisors support day-to-day store operations, promote products and services, process customer transactions and sales documentation, maintain the store and its equipment, and help train new employees. They may also perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
• Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Sales abilities.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including arithmetic, averages, percentages, and making change.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed.
• Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials.
• Ability to consistently work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Ability and willingness to comply with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations.
• Vision, hearing, speech, and ability to detect odors.
• Ability to remain stationary, standing and/or driving, for up to nine hours per shift.
• Ability to move and position oneself to retrieve products and supplies from shelves, under counters, or inventory stacks weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English to communicate accurately and effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Ability to meet company requirements, including successful pre-employment screenings.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the customer service area and welcome waiting customers, providing fast and friendly service.
• Handle complaints courteously and efficiently in accordance with company policy.
• Inspect vehicles and review owner’s manual maintenance requirements to prioritize and promote products and services to customers and management.
• Promote sales by explaining product and service benefits, implementing promotions, and using suggestive selling techniques.
• Prepare sales documentation, including warranties and service agreements, and record and register tire sales.
• Conduct accurate and efficient sales transactions and report sales, cash, or operating discrepancies to a supervisor.
• Manage ticket average and profitability and assist the store manager in meeting company expectations.
• Support store operations, including opening and closing tasks, inventory, sales reporting, processing adjustments, merchandising, and other related functions.
• Clean, maintain, and store tools and equipment properly to protect company assets.
• Check in vendors, receive merchandise, and stock shelves.
• Clean facilities and maintain the interior and exterior appearance of the store to meet Big O Tires standards.
• Safely operate customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions, moving vehicles to and from service areas as needed.
• Assist with training new employees as needed.
• Complete daily Today’s Class Technician training and other required training on time.
• Follow company and position-specific policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
