About The Position

HazTek is seeking a Safety Specialist in New Brunswick, NJ to provide on-site safety oversight for a commercial construction project. This individual will work with field crews and project leadership to identify hazards, promote safe work practices, and support compliance with the project safety plan.

Requirements

• Commercial construction safety experience; high-rise experience preferred
• Strong verbal communication skills
• OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR required
• CHST preferred
• Advance knowledge of construction safety standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills

Nice To Haves

• high-rise experience preferred
• CHST preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site walks and document safety observations.
• Communicate safety concerns and follow up on corrective actions.
• Support compliance with site safety requirements and applicable regulations.
• Assist with safety meetings and incident reporting as needed.
