About The Position

HazTek is hiring an experienced Safety Specialist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to support commercial construction projects, including work associated with military installations or USACE projects. The role focuses on maintaining safe job sites, ensuring regulatory compliance, and protecting workers. The specialist oversees project safety, performs inspections and audits, leads daily safety meetings, and investigates accidents. This is a local opportunity with no travel, per diem, or relocation offered; travel or relocation may be considered. Requirements

At least 5 years of construction safety experience.
Experience supporting military installations or USACE projects.
EM 385-1-1 training.
OSHA 30-hour Construction certification.
First Aid/CPR certification.
Strong knowledge of construction safety standards.
Experience in Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation.
Excellent verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects to ensure OSHA compliance.
Conduct daily safety meetings.
Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations.
Ensure all personnel wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform daily safety audits and inspections.
Inspect power tools and heavy equipment.
