About The Position

HazTek is hiring an experienced Safety Specialist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to support commercial construction projects, including military construction work. The role focuses on maintaining safe job sites, protecting workers, and ensuring regulatory compliance, including OSHA compliance. Candidates must have experience supporting military installations or USACE projects and be knowledgeable about construction safety standards and specific high-risk work areas. This is a full-time opportunity. The position is local, with no travel, per diem, or relocation offered for this opportunity; the posting also states that travel and/or relocation will be considered. Requirements

At least 5 years of construction safety experience.
Experience supporting military installations or USACE projects.
EM 385-1-1 training.
OSHA 30-hour Construction certification.
First Aid/CPR certification.
Strong knowledge of construction safety standards.
Experience with fall protection, scaffolding, steel erection, and excavation.
Excellent verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects to ensure OSHA compliance.
Conduct daily safety meetings.
Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations.
Ensure all personnel wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
Conduct daily safety audits and inspections.
Inspect power tools and heavy equipment.
