About The Position

The Safety Shop Supervisor is responsible for ensuring stable, disciplined, and predictable execution within the Safety Shop by translating the approved production plan and continuous improvement initiatives into clear, enforceable daily shop-floor actions. While promoting a safe and efficient work environment, this role provides the traction layer between Planning, Continuous Improvement, and Execution, ensuring visibility, accountability, early escalation, and strict adherence to established governance.

Requirements

  • +10 years of experience in production, MRO, or manufacturing operations
  • Technical diploma or equivalent experience in aviation, manufacturing, or industrial operations
  • Proven supervisory / cell-lead experience in a unionized environment
  • Strong execution mindset with high accountability and low tolerance for ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to enforce structure, governance, and escalation discipline
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with Planning and CI teams
  • Ability to remain calm, decisive, and authoritative in high-pressure environments
  • Demonstrated ability to hold peers and senior technicians accountable respectfully and consistently
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and operational discipline

Responsibilities

  • Monitor adherence to approved production plans, safety standards and quality requirements.
  • Provide overall oversight and visibility of production activities to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Act as a point of escalation for operational risks, constraints and priority conflicts.
  • Facilitate cross functional coordination between production, planning, quality, engineering and supply chain.
  • Review production performance indicators and escalate gaps or trends to management.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve issues.
  • Support continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports for management.
