About The Position

The Safety & Security Officer helps maintain a secure and welcoming environment for hotel guests and team members. The role monitors the property, identifies potential security risks, responds promptly to issues, implements security procedures, and provides friendly, service-oriented customer interactions with a calm and confident presence. The officer is expected to address challenges quickly using safety-first solutions. The position is at Sheraton Albuquerque Airport Hotel, located outside the ABQ terminal. The hotel offers complimentary airport shuttle service and has on-site dining, guest rooms, a fitness center, a seasonal outdoor pool, and meeting and event space. The property frequently hosts group travel and events.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Certificate of Completion in Safety and Security Training and/or a State Security License, including applicable background checks, as required by the state.
CPR, First Aid, and AED certification from the American Heart Association, Red Cross, or HIS.
Complete AHLA Certified Lodging Security Officer certification within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a safety and security role or a related field is preferred but not required.
