About The Position

HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety operations on commercial construction projects in Atlanta, Georgia. The role is responsible for ensuring OSHA compliance, implementing best safety practices, and fostering a culture where every worker goes home safe. The Safety Manager will oversee safety activities across the project, including subcontractors and contractors, and work with fall protection, scaffolding, steel erection, and excavation. This is a local-only opportunity; travel, per diem, and relocation are not offered.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of direct construction safety experience.
• Advanced knowledge of construction safety standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills.

Nice To Haves

• Degree in a safety-related field.
• OSHA 510 and/or OSHA 500 certification.
• CHST or CSP certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Conduct daily safety meetings.
• Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations.
• Conduct daily safety audits and inspections.
• Oversee all subcontractors and contractors.
• Oversee fall protection, scaffolding, steel erection, and excavation.
