About The Position

The Safety Compliance Administrator will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in all aspects of the position, including the administration of the DOT program, Drug Testing Program, Safety Incentive Program (SIP) and various Insurance programs under the direction of the Safety Manager. This will include accurate data entry into COINS, managing and scheduling random drug tests, processing annual motor vehicle record check documents, and assisting with the reporting of all incidents and delivering clear concise communication to the organization through Safety Alerts, Safety Communications, Safety Standouts, etc. as well as being responsible for a variety of special projects in support of the Safety organization. This position requires the handling of administrative functions which are critical to compliance and support a fast paced, customer focused department that supplies a full range of Safety services. The successful candidate will have highly developed organizational skills, communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and possesses a commitment to safety to support the various department functions. Additionally, they must possess the ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Must possess an attitude that is truly committed to employee safety and all that it takes to support the organizations efforts.
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience in highly responsible administrative position or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2-year experience in a role with some level of safety, insurance, and employee services responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Word and Excel.
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Sound arithmetic, reasoning, and accurate data entry required.
  • Must be a team player, dedicated to quality and accuracy and able to interact with highly technical staff and Management.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of daily transactions.
  • Must be able to re-evaluate priorities while maintaining confidentiality, exercising discretion, diplomacy, and good judgment.
  • Ability to generate alternative solutions when faced with a problem, evaluates the consequences of choosing each alternative, and selects the most promising alternative.
  • OSHA 10 Construction Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
  • Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
