About The Position

As a Safety & Security Co-op/Intern, you'll dive into data from various sources, spot trends, and share your insights with the team and organization. Plus, you'll play a critical part in managing safety & physical security projects that affect BCI as a corporation and specifically those working at BCI. As a Safety and Security Co-op/Intern, you'll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that impact the future of our company and our clients. You'll be responsible for helping manage various sized projects that include office expansions, training materials and corporate wide initiatives. Additionally, you’ll analyzing data from various sources, identifying trends and patterns, process improvements and presenting actionable insights to our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in maintaining a physical security and safety program on a corporate-wide level while making a meaningful impact on our program’s growth.

Requirements

  • A fundamental knowledge of basic business and investment-related disciplines
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy, excellent product quality, and attention to detail
  • Has an interest in business analysis, administrative processes, customer services combined with a keen interest in physical security and safety initiatives
  • A dedication to hard work, commitment to the highest ethical standards, and an eagerness to learn
  • Strong research skills combined with analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country where this job is located.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret data from various sources focusing on physical security & facility safety as well as business continuity planning
  • Identify physical security and safety trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in our office management processes including providing resource projections
  • Assist in monitoring day-to-day physical security and safety of BCI facilities, including assisting in reporting and incident management
  • Work to plan, execute, and deliver safety and security orientated projects on time and within budget
  • Assist with emergency response planning and exercises which will help continue to strengthen the pre-existing safety and physical security program
  • Help maintain and introduce new training material and opportunities for staff and the business
  • Manage and follow corporate directives and office procedures, while overseeing the coordination, review, and implementation of new procedures to enhance efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement office management, workplace optimization, and safety and security solutions
  • Support the Workplace Services team in day-to-day tasks and special projects as needed
