About The Position

The Saddle Stitch Sewer sews fabric and/or leather furniture pieces to quality standards and meets established production goals in a furniture manufacturing environment. The role is based in a climate-controlled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.; overtime is required as needed.

Requirements

Ability to read a ruler.
Quality-minded, with strict attention to detail.
Ability to perform and meet established goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment after the established training period.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Ability to sit for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Reliable.
Strong English language skills.
Ability to wear required safety PPE, including safety glasses and closed-toe, closed-heel shoes.

Responsibilities

Sew furniture pieces accurately using established standards.
