About The Position

The Saddle Stitch Sewer works in the Sewing department at a furniture manufacturing plant in Conover, North Carolina. The role involves sewing fabric and/or leather furniture pieces to quality standards and meeting established production goals after training. The position requires attention to detail, reliability, a positive and collaborative attitude, and the ability to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment. The employee must be able to sit for at least eight hours per day, work overtime as needed, read a ruler, and wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and closed-toe, closed-heel shoes. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with overtime as required. The workplace is a climate-controlled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
