About The Position

Our Daily Bread Ministries is seeking a Stitch Machine Operator – Level 2 to run and support stitch and ancillary equipment in the Print Finishing department. The role helps keep production moving safely and efficiently while meeting quality, productivity, and KPI standards for printed resources distributed around the world.

The operator uses technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety to steward the ministry’s equipment and resources. The position also offers continuous training, opportunities to participate in process improvement initiatives, and the possibility of becoming a trainer.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and dexterity, with the ability to learn new technical processes and troubleshoot equipment effectively.
• Basic computer skills; on-the-job training is provided for production and scheduling systems.
• High attention to detail and the ability to multitask and create solutions.
• Ability to work on your feet full-time with repetitive motion and frequent bending, lifting, pulling, and twisting.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds or more and work safely around machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and assist other operators on stitch and ancillary equipment, with a strong command of job specifications, material specifications, machine parameters, and print services workflow.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs, keep machinery in good working order, and troubleshoot machine malfunctions and material quality issues.
• Track time, productivity, maintenance issues, and quality for the workflow using production and scheduling systems.
• Support fulfillment and warehousing of finished goods and work-in-progress inventory, and prepare and complete necessary paperwork.
• Package orders and materials appropriately according to customer requirements.
• Model safe operation, movement, and interaction with equipment and people.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
