RX Benefits Associate
About The Position
The RX Benefits Associate addresses member concerns related to SingleCare discount cards and responds to customer inquiries promptly and professionally. The role assists members with prescription pricing and insurance benefit questions, explains discount card benefits and use, provides physical cards and information about online pharmacy home delivery, and helps members select and understand medical insurance benefits. It also verifies insurance benefits and pharmacy locations, routes calls to appropriate departments, and processes requests to stop promotional mail. The associate supports pharmacies with claim submission troubleshooting and provides prescription benefit details to members and pharmacies. This is a contract position based out of Atlanta, Georgia, and is fully remote. The posted pay range is $19.00 per hour. The position is anticipated to close on November 6, 2026.
Requirements
- Empathy and patience when supporting members with sensitive health and insurance concerns.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.
- Accurate data entry and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; Access or Teams may also be used.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products such as Outlook and Teams, work with dual monitors, and switch between systems simultaneously.
- Ability to read, speak, and take notes simultaneously during phone calls.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, learn quickly, and adapt flexibly.
Responsibilities
- Address member concerns regarding the use of SingleCare discount cards.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist members with prescription price inquiries and insurance benefit questions.
- Educate members on the benefits and use of discount cards for prescribed medications.
- Provide members with physical discount cards and information on home delivery options through an online pharmacy.
- Help members elect and understand their medical insurance benefits.
- Verify insurance benefits and pharmacy locations for members.
- Transfer calls to appropriate departments, such as dental plans or medical benefits, for further support.
- Opt members out of promotional mail upon request.
- Assist pharmacies with claim submission issues and troubleshooting.
- Provide prescription benefit details to members and pharmacies.
- Record member interactions and application reviews accurately.
