About The Position

The Runner’s primary responsibility is to provide exceptional guest service by efficiently, safely, and accurately delivering food offerings to guests. The role involves interacting with guests, delivering orders to tables, supporting table service, keeping service areas clean and stocked, and maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must obtain and maintain a current food handler’s card and/or food safety certification.
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
Able to work in a fast-paced, loud environment with multiple flashing lights.
Able to stand for extended periods.
Capable of remaining calm and using good judgment in all situations.
Professional image, strong attention to detail, and good organizational skills.
Desire to serve guests and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Greet guests and make them feel comfortable by establishing a personal connection.
Communicate promptly, courteously, and effectively with guests, management, and fellow team members.
Learn about the BackLot brand and items sold to answer questions and make recommendations.
Deliver food and beverage orders to tables and guests according to Harkins’ standards.
Refill beverages and clear tables and seats while exceeding guest expectations.
Collect dishes consistently and bring them to the wash station.
Thoroughly clean and sanitize tables for the next service.
Follow safety procedures, including proper disposal of broken glassware.
Assist with restocking server stations.
Maintain an organized work area to support efficient service.
Prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks amid frequent interruptions while maintaining flexibility and composure.
