About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring an armed Response Security Officer in Decatur, Georgia. The officer responds to emergency callouts and site-coverage needs, patrols sensitive areas, controls access, and helps protect people and property. The role requires strong observation and judgment, the ability to recognize risks and respond to incidents, and the physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol throughout a shift. Open availability across shifts and days is required, including weekends, and hours per week vary. Overtime may be required as needed. The position pays $24.00 per hour. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Have 2–5 years of law enforcement or military experience.
• Have 2–5 years of armed security experience.
• Have open availability for all shifts and days, including weekends, and be able to respond to emergency coverage.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process, background check, and drug screening.
• Be able to stand and walk for the entire shift.
• Have a state license if required.

Nice To Haves

• First aid certification is an asset.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency callouts and provide site coverage.
• Patrol sensitive areas and look for suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• Respond quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check that alarms and cameras are functioning properly.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
