About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Security Officer – Surveillance to monitor security systems and identify threats before they escalate. The position is based in Portland, Oregon, and is full-time, Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for 38 hours per week. The hourly wage is $28.70. A uniform is provided at no cost. Employment is contingent on successful completion of a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual acuity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.
• Have at least one year of armed security, military, or law-enforcement experience.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have an Armed DPSST credential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
