About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring more than 40 full-time Armed Security Officers across Tennessee, with openings in Chattanooga, Smyrna, Clarksville, and Memphis. The positions pay $26.00 per hour. Applicants may attend a hiring event in Nashville on Thursday, November 12, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at Allied Universal, 22 Century Blvd, Suite 410, Nashville, TN 37214. Qualified candidates may receive on-the-spot offers. Business-casual interview attire is requested. Schedules vary by location. Chattanooga offers Monday–Friday morning shifts, 40 hours per week, with no weekends. Smyrna, Clarksville, and Memphis have morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts, including weekdays and weekends. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. Officers provide customer service while following safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, and conduct regular and random patrols of business premises and perimeters. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and drug screening, to the extent permitted by law. Officers must participate in industry-specific security and safety training. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
For Chattanooga: have at least 3 years of security, law enforcement, Military Police, or military experience.
For Smyrna, Clarksville, and Memphis: have at least 3 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience, or an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice.
Have one of the following: DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an Associate’s degree or 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients while carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and conduct emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
Participate in industry-specific security and safety training programs.
