Route Service Technician – Paid Training
About The Position
Auto-Chlor System is hiring a Route Service Technician to support commercial customers throughout the Phoenix area. The technician troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains commercial dishwashing and dispensing equipment, manages an assigned service area, and builds relationships with customers. Paid, hands-on training is provided; prior experience with the company's specific equipment or commercial dishwashing equipment is not required. The role suits someone with mechanical aptitude who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting, and learning how equipment works. The position offers a starting pay of $27 per hour and typical first-year earnings of $68,000–$78,000, including overtime and on-call pay. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with participation in a rotating on-call schedule after training. A company vehicle is provided during business hours. The role offers opportunities to develop specialized equipment and troubleshooting skills and to advance within the company.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Willingness to learn.
- Comfort working independently and interacting with customers.
- Comfort using basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to learn to diagnose equipment problems in the field.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in automotive repair, HVAC, plumbing, appliance repair, equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, installation, or other hands-on mechanical work.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial dishwashing and dispensing equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in the field.
- Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Install and replace equipment and components as needed.
- Manage a daily service schedule and assigned territory.
- Communicate with restaurant and commercial customers about equipment and service needs.
- Drive a company vehicle to customer locations throughout the Phoenix area.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule after training.
