About The Position

The Route Service Manager delivers batteries and provides exceptional customer service to a predetermined route of customers and dealers within their territory. The role collaborates with dealers to ensure the best mix of batteries on the rack, execute battery quality programs, and build strong relationships that foster improved dealer retention. The position works independently with limited supervision and is accountable for accurate inventory management of company assets, using frequent independent judgment when making decisions.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Able to read, write, and perform basic math.
Excellent communication skills.
At least one year of delivery and customer service experience.
Working knowledge of electronic inventory management tools, such as tablets and scanners.
Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Approach tasks with a sense of urgency.
Able to work overtime if requested.
Must have and maintain a valid DOT medical card, state driver's license, and acceptable driving record.
Able to regularly lift and/or move 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Deliver batteries and provide service to each dealer on the route safely and on time.
Follow all Environmental Health and Safety rules and policies.
Load and unload trucks safely and maintain an accurate account of company assets.
Establish, build, and maintain dealer relationships.
Keep displays and products clean, full, and rotated according to consignment agreements.
Manage dealer accounts, including sales, consignment, warranties, rotations, cash collection, and invoicing.
Complete delivery and route transactions and other paperwork on time.
Interact professionally with team members, managers, customers, and other stakeholders.
Follow and fulfill driver program requirements specified by the manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
