Route Sales Representative/Driver
About The Position
Prudential Overall Supply is seeking motivated, customer-focused, and sales-oriented Route Service Representatives. The representative drives a company truck within an assigned territory to deliver and pick up uniforms, towels, mats, and other rental products. They serve as the face of the company, provide timely deliveries, and build and maintain strong customer relationships. The role includes identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services to earn a route bonus and commission, operating the truck safely and professionally, and following federal and state vehicle regulations. This is a full-time, permanent, non-seasonal position with a Monday–Friday schedule and workweeks of 40 or more hours. The role involves loading and unloading clean and soiled merchandise, using company devices to manage orders and communicate invoice changes, and maintaining an updated route book. Other duties may be assigned to support route operations. The position requires regularly lifting up to 50 pounds and meeting customer-required background compliance criteria to maintain eligibility.
Requirements
- High school graduate.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Active driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Customer-service and sales-oriented.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Safe driving skills in all weather conditions.
- Must satisfy customer-required background compliance criteria to maintain eligibility for the role.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of customer service experience.
- Experience driving a box truck or step-van.
- Military-experienced candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company truck within an assigned territory to pick up and deliver products and garments.
- Ensure loads are accurate and properly prepared.
- Load and unload clean and soiled merchandise, handling carts carefully during transport.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
- Use company devices to manage customer orders and communicate invoice changes.
- Maintain an updated route book.
- Follow federal and state vehicle regulations and operate the truck safely and professionally.
- Perform other duties as needed to support smooth route operations.
