Route Sales Representative/Driver
About The Position
Prudential Overall Supply is hiring a full-time, permanent Route Sales Representative/Driver. The representative drives a company truck within an assigned territory to deliver and pick up uniforms, towels, mats, and other rental products. The role combines safe, timely delivery and pickup with customer service and sales, including building customer relationships and identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services. The position involves operating the truck professionally and following federal and state vehicle regulations. The posting describes a Monday–Friday schedule and 40+ hour work weeks, with possible overnight shifts; overnight expenses are paid. This is not a seasonal role and offers opportunities for stability and career growth.
Requirements
- High school graduate.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Active driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willing to obtain a Class A license within the next 12 months.
- Customer-service and sales-oriented.
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Safe driving skills in all weather conditions.
- Must satisfy all customer-required background compliance criteria to maintain eligibility for the role.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of customer service experience.
- Experience driving a box truck or step-van.
- Military experience; military-experienced candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company truck within an assigned territory to pick up and deliver products and garments.
- Ensure loads are accurate and properly prepared.
- Load and unload soiled and clean merchandise.
- Handle carts carefully during transport.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services.
- Use company devices to manage customer orders, communicate invoice changes, and maintain an updated route book.
- Follow federal and state vehicle regulations.
- Perform other duties as needed to support smooth route operations.
