Route Sales Representative/Driver
About The Position
Prudential Overall Supply is seeking motivated, customer-focused, and sales-oriented Route Service Representatives. The position drives a company truck within an assigned territory to deliver and pick up uniforms, towels, mats, and other rental products. Representatives build and maintain customer relationships, identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services, and may earn route bonuses and commissions. The role requires safe, professional truck operation in compliance with federal and state vehicle regulations. This is a full-time, permanent position with a Monday–Friday schedule and work weeks of 40 or more hours. Overnight shifts might be required, with expenses paid. The role involves loading and unloading clean and soiled merchandise, using company devices to manage customer orders, communicating invoice changes, and keeping a route book updated. Employees may perform other duties to support route operations.
Requirements
- High school graduate.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Active driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to obtain a Class A license within the next 12 months.
- Customer service and sales orientation.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Safe driving skills in all weather conditions.
- Must satisfy all customer-required background compliance criteria to maintain eligibility for the role.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of customer service experience.
- Experience driving a box truck or step-van.
- Military-experienced candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company truck to pick up and deliver products and garments.
- Ensure loads are accurate and properly prepared.
- Load and unload soiled and clean merchandise, handling carts carefully during transport.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services.
- Use company devices to manage customer orders.
- Communicate invoice changes and maintain an updated route book.
- Follow federal and state vehicle regulations and drive safely in all weather conditions.
- Perform other duties as needed to support smooth route operations.
