Route Sales Representative/Driver
About The Position
Prudential Overall Supply is hiring a full-time, permanent Route Sales Representative/Driver to serve customers within an assigned territory. The representative drives a company truck to deliver and pick up uniforms, towels, mats, and other rental products; builds and maintains customer relationships; and identifies opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services. The role includes safely handling deliveries and pickups, following federal and state vehicle regulations, and using company devices to manage orders and route information. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule and 40+ hour work weeks.
Requirements
- High school graduate.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Active driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Customer-service and sales-oriented approach.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must satisfy customer-required background compliance criteria to maintain eligibility for the role.
Nice To Haves
- At least 2 years of customer service experience.
- Experience driving a box truck or step-van.
- Military-experienced candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company truck within an assigned territory to pick up and deliver products and garments.
- Ensure loads are accurate and properly prepared.
- Load and unload clean and soiled merchandise, handling carts carefully during transport.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and provide customer service.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
- Use company devices to manage customer orders and communicate invoice changes.
- Maintain an updated route book.
- Follow federal and state vehicle regulations and drive safely in all weather conditions.
- Perform other duties as needed to support route operations.
