About The Position

1-800-GOT-JUNK? is hiring outgoing, hardworking individuals to serve the Modesto and Tracy communities as drivers who also provide sales, customer service, and physical labor. The role involves helping homeowners and businesses remove unwanted items, evaluating customer needs, providing estimates, and completing removal jobs. Drivers operate company trucks after training and work with another team member to remove and load items. The team also seeks to reduce landfill waste by identifying materials suitable for recycling, donation, or other diversion.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years old due to company insurance requirements.
Have a current California driver's license.
Have a clean driving history for at least the previous 3 years.
Be able to repeatedly lift, carry, and load items weighing 75+ lbs.
Be comfortable driving for periods exceeding 45 minutes.
Be available to work full shifts averaging 6–9 hours.
Have open availability to meet operational scheduling needs.
Have strong communication skills and confidence speaking with customers.
Be willing to learn pricing, sales techniques, and safe truck operations.
Have a professional appearance and dependable work ethic.
Have a working smartphone capable of running multiple company applications.

Responsibilities

Build rapport with customers and evaluate their removal needs.
Present clear estimates and help turn appointments into completed jobs.
Operate company trucks, including Isuzu NPR/NQR/NRR vehicles, after completing company training.
Navigate local routes safely between residential and commercial properties.
Partner with another team member to remove, carry, and load furniture, appliances, household belongings, and other unwanted materials.
Identify items that can be recycled, donated, or otherwise diverted from landfills.
Represent the company professionally on the road.
Participate in local marketing efforts to introduce customers to the services.
