About The Position
As a Truck Team Member at 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, you help deliver an exceptional customer experience through junk removal, recycling, and donations. The role combines physical, hands-on labor, customer service, and sales activities. You lift, carry, and load items, sort materials for recycling, donation, or disposal, and clean up job sites. You also explain services and pricing, provide estimates, recommend additional services, and build customer relationships that support repeat business and referrals. Team members work closely with teammates and management to complete jobs efficiently. Full-time, part-time, and seasonal opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Comfortable safely lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Positive attitude and commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Confidence discussing pricing and identifying customer needs to promote additional services.
- Strong collaboration skills for working in a small team.
- At least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- Three years of clean driving record for insurance purposes.
- Punctuality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Lift, carry, and safely load a variety of items into the truck.
- Identify items for recycling, donation, or proper disposal.
- Clean up job sites after each removal.
- Greet customers, explain services, and answer questions.
- Offer solutions suited to customers’ junk removal needs.
- Recommend additional services and applicable add-ons.
- Provide cost estimates and explain pricing to customers.
- Build rapport and close sales to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Collaborate with teammates to plan and complete jobs efficiently.
- Communicate with the team and management to support smooth operations.
