About The Position

McFarland Clinic is accepting applications for a Rooming Nurse (CMA/LPN) at its Fort Dodge office in Hematology/Oncology. The role supports patient care and clinic operations by preparing patients for provider exams, documenting patient information, assisting oncologists with procedures, and administering immunizations. Candidates should be service-oriented team players who can provide extraordinary care to patients. The position offers clinic pay and a benefits package. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with every other Wednesday off. The role requires graduation from an accredited medical assistant program and/or an accredited nursing school, as well as the applicable medical assistant credential or an active State Licensed Practical Nurse license. Current Basic Life Support certification is also required. McFarland Clinic experience is preferred; two years of medical office experience and EHR experience are preferred. Pre-employment drug screening and criminal history background checks are conditions of hire.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or an accredited school of nursing.
Hold certification or registration from an approved Medical Assistant certifying organization (AAMA, ARMA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA), or possess a State Licensed Practical Nurse license.
Hold current Basic Life Support certification.
Complete pre-employment drug screening and criminal history background checks as a condition of hire.
