Room Service Server
About The Position
The Room Service Server delivers in-room dining service that contributes to a comfortable, memorable guest experience and reflects the hotel’s commitment to exceptional hospitality. The role involves prompt, polished order delivery, attentive presentation, answering menu questions and offering recommendations by phone, and responsible alcohol service. The server maintains sanitation, safety, and cleanliness standards while providing friendly, professional service to guests and team members. This position is part-time and pays $10.50–$12 per hour. Work may include nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills and a warm, professional guest-service approach.
- Ability to deliver items carefully, with attention to detail and polished presentation.
- Excellent time-management skills to provide prompt, efficient service.
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple orders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond calmly to guest requests.
- Professionalism, reliability, and personal accountability.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Ability to navigate guest floors, carry trays or items, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience or training.
- Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Server Certification.
- Ability to carry, pull, or push 40+ pounds, with or without assistance.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or customer service.
- Familiarity with basic food handling and sanitation practices.
- High-volume and/or fine-dining experience.
