About The Position

The Room Service Host assists patients with appropriate food selections in accordance with their diet prescriptions and communicates the menu to them. The role also prepares late trays for assigned patients and works in partnership with other team members to provide customer-focused care.

Requirements

• One year of experience in a food service department is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to demonstrate job competency in task performance following on-the-job training and written tests following classroom instruction.
• Reading, writing, and mathematical skills, and ability to operate a computer terminal.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and twist frequently.
• Visual and hearing acuity to read menus and hear responses from patients, visitors, or staff.
