About The Position

The Terrace Room Host ensures guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner in accordance with Omni Standards. As the first point of contact, the host manages the guest experience from arrival to departure by greeting guests, managing reservations and seating flow, quoting wait times, and controlling the pace of the dining room. The role also requires knowledge of the hotel property and downtown area, menus, daily specials, and food and beverage promotions. ServSafe and RAMP certifications must be provided upon hire.

Requirements

Must provide ServSafe and RAMP certifications upon hire.
Ability to answer the telephone and take reservations.
Ability to seat guests.
Ability to greet guests, take reservations, and solve problems.
Literacy sufficient to take reservations.
Able to perform the listed physical demands, including continual fast-paced walking and standing throughout the work period.

Responsibilities

Assist managers with opening and closing.
Answer phone calls according to SOP and LSOP.
Seat guests and manage the seating flow.
Control heavy guest volume at the restaurant entrance.
Attend to and anticipate guests’ needs.
Become familiar with menus and daily specials.
Introduce guests to their server.
Greet guests and manage reservations, including quoting wait times.
Assign tables and stations.
Maintain a clean and organized area.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Perform all duties in accordance with MOS.
Maintain knowledge of the hotel property, downtown area, and food and beverage promotions.
