About The Position

The Room Service Host assists patients with appropriate food selections in accordance with their diet prescriptions and communicates menu options to patients. The role prepares late trays for assigned patients, works in partnership with other team members, and provides customer-focused care to patients.

Requirements

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to demonstrate job competency in task performance after on-the-job training and written tests after classroom instruction.
• Reading, writing, and mathematical skills, and ability to operate a computer terminal.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and twist frequently.
• Visual and hearing acuity to read menus and hear patient, visitor, or staff responses.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a food service department preferred.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
