About The Position

The Room Attendant cleans, restocks, and maintains assigned hotel rooms to provide high-touch housekeeping service during each guest stay. The role includes preparing the cleaning cart, servicing rooms and bathrooms, inspecting completed rooms, handling laundry and lost property, and reporting room availability, suspicious activity, and maintenance needs. The position is part-time at Residence Inn Bend.

Remain discreet and respect guest privacy.
Perform consistent work to a high standard.
Interact with guests in a pleasant and friendly manner.
Have sufficient education and literacy to identify and read product labels and communicate with guests about job-related needs.
Remain in a stationary position during the shift and access and navigate the facility.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment to meet safety requirements.
Be able to perform routine, repetitive work that may involve strenuous physical exertion and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English is preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive the assigned-room list from the manager and prioritize rooms requesting early cleaning.
Check the cleaning cart inventory and add necessary supplies.
Knock and announce before entering rooms, and return later if a room is occupied.
Remove soiled linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets and replace them with fresh items.
Make beds and stock towels and washcloths according to hotel policies.
Clean and disinfect bathrooms and kitchenette or coffee-preparation areas according to hotel policies.
Wipe room surfaces and clean mirrors.
Vacuum floors and remove trash.
Check and restock complimentary coffee, snacks, and toiletries according to the hotel checklist and policies.
Inspect rooms to ensure they meet hotel standards.
Notify the supervisor when rooms are available and report suspicious activity to security.
Ensure soiled linens are laundered, including loading washers and dryers and folding linens as needed.
Notify the maintenance department of needed repairs or maintenance.
Take items left behind by checked-out guests to the designated lost and found area.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
