About The Position

The Guest Room Attendant / Houseman helps provide a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for hotel guests. The role maintains cleanliness and order in guest rooms and public areas, identifies cleanliness or maintenance issues, and supports timely room turnovers and hotel operations. The position works closely with the housekeeping team and management and contributes to guest satisfaction and a positive hotel experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Attention to detail and physical stamina for daily cleaning tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services.
• Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies and safe handling procedures.
• Customer service experience focused on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems or housekeeping software.
• Time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in public areas, including hallways, lobbies, and restrooms.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down meeting rooms or event spaces as needed.
• Promptly report maintenance issues and safety hazards to management.
• Transport linens, supplies, and trash throughout the hotel to support the housekeeping team.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests related to room cleanliness or amenities.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
