About The Position

The Room Attendant helps create a positive guest experience through the safe and efficient operation of the housekeeping department. The role cleans and maintains guest rooms and hotel areas to established cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards, while providing courteous service and respecting guests’ privacy. Room Attendants respond to guest requests, report room deficiencies and maintenance concerns, and coordinate with housekeeping colleagues and other hotel staff to support efficient operations.

Requirements

• Provide high-level customer service and communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Follow instructions and learn quickly.
• Pay attention to detail and maintain composure under pressure.
• Ability to perform extended periods of walking, standing, bending, lifting, twisting, and kneeling.

Nice To Haves

• Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience.
• Prior customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms and suites to established cleanliness and hygiene standards, including making beds, vacuuming carpets, dusting furniture, and replenishing amenities.
• Stock and refresh linens, towels, and toiletries, and report deficiencies or damages to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Perform deep cleaning as needed, including shampooing carpets, scrubbing floors, and sanitizing bathroom fixtures.
• Greet guests courteously and respect their privacy and confidentiality while cleaning and servicing rooms.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries and provide information or assistance to enhance their stay.
• Report guest concerns, maintenance issues, and housekeeping requests to the appropriate department.
• Work collaboratively with room attendants, housekeeping supervisors, and other hotel staff to coordinate housekeeping services.
• Communicate room status, special requests, and guest preferences to colleagues and supervisors.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures and comply with health, safety, environmental, and company housekeeping policies.
• Immediately report safety hazards, accidents, or incidents to the housekeeping supervisor and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
