About The Position

The Room Attendant maintains clean and attractive guestrooms while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests at Blue Flamingo in Key West. The role includes cleaning guestrooms to established standards, preparing and replenishing housekeeping supplies, keeping hallways and public areas clean, and reporting missing items or maintenance needs. The position requires standing throughout the shift and the ability to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally or 20 pounds frequently or constantly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand during the entire shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with employees and guests at all levels in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean guestrooms according to standards.
• Complete pre-cleaning duties, including preparing guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen on the housekeeping cart.
• Remove trash and dirty linen from guestrooms and hallways.
• Keep hallways, public areas, and closets clean, neat, and vacuumed.
• Restock the housekeeping cleaning cart for the next day's use.
• Replenish chemical bottles.
• Report missing room items, such as irons, ironing boards, and hair dryers, to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
• Immediately report maintenance repairs to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
• Handle Lost and Found items according to standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
